Churchyards: a refuge for wildlife.

Churchyards are an important refuge for wildlife particularly in our urban areas. Where they are a welcome green space for people and wildlife alike.  This talk will focus on the rare plants often found in churchyards with examples from churches and cemeteries across Surrey.   Key to protecting these special sites is proper land management and commitment from all concerned. Focusing on community and volunteer involvement this talk shows what can and has been achieved by a fruitful partnership with clergy, parishioners, Local Authorities and the wider community.
